Our Approach
It is our goal at The Big Event to
provide the highest quality product at the best price possible. We believe
that the cost of the product should be based, primarily, on the duration of the
final video, and not on the use of elegant transitions, special effects, or additional
title screens. See our Pricing page for details. Our approach to making videos is based on the belief that the
right music can make even the simplest picture say more than it ever could on its
own.
In order for the pictures and the music to work together, the picture transitions
should flow with the song. Depending on the music chosen, and the intended
"feel" of the video, some videos can use twice as many pictures as others.
We don't believe you should have to pay more because of the song selection.
Also, different styles of videos will use different amounts of special effects.
We try to incorporate elegant transitions, and the "pan and zoom" effect (made famous
by Ken Burns) wherever appropriate.... with the emphasis on "appropriate".
We will not (unless directed by you to do so) add effects to a video if we feel
it will change the video's emotional effect. When it
is appropriate to include effects, we believe there should not be a price tag associated
with it.
