Selecting and sending your pictures   The next step is to gather your pictures and video clips together, and send them to us.  Below are some suggestions on how to select the best possible pictures, and how to package them for shipment. Selecting pictures for your slideshow Whereever possible, use landscape (pictures that are wider than they are tall) instead of portrait photos.  Otherwise, there will be space on the sides of the picture as it appears on the screen. Select pictures that are bright and clear.  We will touch up any pictures that need a little extra help, but old grainy photos are still going to look old and grainy. Pick photos that have meaning to you.  Remember, this is your video story, and you should tell it the way you want it told. Use pictures that represent the emotion of your intended video.  If this is to be an upbeat lively video, try to find photos where everyone is smiling and having a good time.  However - keep in mind that a well-placed serious pose can actualy be quite funny. Preparing your pictures for shipping If you want your pictures in a specific order, stick numbered post-it notes on the back of each photo.  Do not put them on the front of the photos, as this will leave a sticky residue on each picture. Do not write on any of your pictures.  This sounds obvious, but we've seen this happen.  If you absolutely must use a picture that has already been written on, we will do our best to digitally edit out the markings. Place all of your pictures and your signed contract in a ziploc bag to keep the "elements" out. Either place the bag in a bubble-wrap envelope with a piece of cardboard on both sides of the bag, or put it in a cardboard shipping box (available at the post office). Be aware that, although we will take extremely good care of your pictures when we receive them, we cannot account for what happens during shipping.  Therefore it is very important that you follow these guidelines for packaging your photos.
